Adaptive Approach to Holistic Energy Solutions

A platform to empower management and accelerate the development of energy infrastructure

Terrapin Energy and Environment is a hosted solution and consulting platform for developers, financiers, and owners to successfully manage energy asset development, deployment, and operations.

You may notice in our header we have a toggle to change from "Summer" to "Winter". The bars indicate the average hourly load for the PJM Interconnection during the summer and winter seasons, respectively. Energy management dynamics, whether load, generation, or a combination of both, rests on the ability to navigate varied aspects of the industry, from complex and interwoven regulatory frameworks to basic supply and demand changes, such as the seasonal shifts highlighted above.

Why Terrapin? Terrapin is derived from the Algonquian word 'torope' to initially describe turtles, specifically Diamondback Terrapins, that inhabited brackish waters along the North American coast. Despite their appearance resembling fresh water turtles, the Terrapin has adapted to various near shore environments, allowing them to survive in water of varying salinities. This includes the ability to live in salt water for extended periods. The adaptable and resilient nature of the Terrapin is an inspiration for how we approach energy management and development.

Our platform and network partners, headed by industry veterans, are positioned to provide the tools and expertise to navigate these challenges.
